Differences among Right thinking Indians

Politics is all about "peaceful co-existence". In politics, u can't just hang on to your beliefs, wishes & ideology and claim "only this is correct and relevant".  You convince others on some beliefs and ideology, you compromise your own belief & ideology on some. This approach results in Win-for-all. Tha'ts how you build a "Party" or an association of like minded people. You don't build a Party by contradicting leaders or fellow-followers based on your personal beliefs. No man is perfect in this world, neither in Politics nor in our circle of family/friends.

It's sad to see some of our sane men/women who are on the "right" side of the fence in patriotism and Nationalist beliefs & idelogies, demean Great leaders like Vajpayee, Advani or any other based on some instances, events or misbeliefs dated to the past. If you find fault with past, even the person the whole nation admires today for his effort in bringing the 2G Spectrum Scam to limelight and ensuring the scamsters involved in it brought to book, Dr.Swamy, has to be hated for the infamous 1999-Tea Party where Sonia Gandhi & Jayalalitha colluded to send off the Vajpayee Govt by a defeciency of "one vote". Don't we all admire his work today? So, who is perfect? Are you perfect as a driver/rider while driving/riding on the street? Do you follow all rules? Don't you honk in rage?  Don't you honk in places where there are kids? That's just a nano example of the mistakes we commit in life. Every walk of life gives scope for people to achieve great heights and also commit mistakes . Greater heights are never achieved without errors enroute. You have to forgive them with emphasis to today, tomorrow and the job on hand. What purpose do we serve by simply criticizing our own men, leaders, who have brought laurels upon this nation. The world looks upon an Indian differently after the Six years under Atalji (1998-2004). I remember how the transformation was taking place. As I spent most of my life at the turn of century from 1998 to 2001 outside India, I could see the change in people's respect for an Indian and Indian Passport. That was because of some bold decisions of Atalji like going ahead with Pokhran-2. I have heard that the "luck of the head of state works for nation". True to this, it was the luck of the man leading us then, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which worked for our nation. Undoubtedly and unarguably, the respect of an Indian and India as a Nation went up manifold under the Statesman Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Talking about Advani-ji, the contributions he has made to building this great political entity called BJP is phenomenal. Can anyone, in thorough knowledge of the history of the Party-BJP, deny his fatherly role in the upbringing of the baby that today is the only National party that can truly be called National. The other so called century-old National party is rather Anti-National and doesn't even deserve mention of its name here. Wouldn't he have dreamt of leading the nation one day when he put in all that hardwork? But times are different today. Cannot complain.

Politics is NO CHILD PLAY. You have to give some some and take some, magnanimously and also sanely. Even in running the government towards constructing a successful Nation, any ruling party takes some, not all, decisions with tacit support of opposition party. That is politics. One cannot behave like an adamant child in public life. The whole meaning of PUBLIC LIFE is lost when one wants only his/her own views to be heard or when one believes only his/her view is correct and rest is trash.

There is something called Peaceful Co-existence and that is not just relevant for inter-religious unity or inter-caste unity. It applies to all walks of life like Family, Political association etc. If we need to see a real difference in Election to Parliament in 2014, a change that will change the destiny of India for the better and give the nation positive direction forever into the future, we need to bury all these petty topics of who did what in the past, who failed to do what in the past, who was right and who was wrong.

The job on hand: Mission BJP 2014.  And, how? : Staying together. Forget and forgive all differences among the right thinking Indians. Look at the games being played by Christian missionaries in Koodankulam Nuclear power Project and the ignorant people falling prey to their anti-national games. Can we afford to relax or waste the time and resources? Don't just tweet or blog or talk. Do something. Explain the goodness that awaits the nation under a BJP Government at the centre from 2014. Target to convert a 100 people around you, the politically neutral poeple, into ardent BJP supporters. Accomplish. Be a part of change. I can hear the celebrations, already!!

Hike in fuel prices.

It may be insane to expect the Govt to subsidise the price of Petrol, Diesel & domestic (LPG) Gas cylinders from Tax collections/revenues. But definitely not insane to expect Govt to subsidise them with revenues from auctioning other natural resources like Ores & Minerals instead of allowing the mafia to eat away the profits.

Nation & Nationality First

This was sent as an Email by me to all my friends when the then Australian PM John Howard said the following sometime back.... Thought it would be apt sharing it with you all... Subject: India needs a leader like this. Indeed this is the need and call of the hour!!! India Needs A Leader Like This!!
****************************************************************************************
The views of Patriotic Australian Prime Minister John Howard...
Prime Minister John Howard, Australia: Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told recently to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. This was said by the then Prime Minister Mr.John Howard. Separately, the former Prime Minister Mr.Howard angered some Australian Muslims by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT'. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.' 'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom' 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!' 'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.' 'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.' 'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.' 'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'
******************************************************************************************

Imagine when a nation like Australia claiming to have been found 200 years back with Christian Men and Women and with Christian principles, a Great nation like India with a history beyond human knowledge and documented history of atleast 5000 years should emphasize on protecting the original culture and values and not get into minority appeasement. None of us want to bully the minorities, at the same time, we just don't want anybody to play the minority appeasement card and fool the whole Billion-plus population. Let there be UNIFORM CIVIL CODE as demanded by a person as highly held in the hearts of our people as our Former President Mr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. Let there be no Quota system within the Nation based on either religion, caste, language, color or any other distinguishing factor. May all of us wake up to the fact that once you step out of India, you will be only known as Indian and not Muslim, Christian, Hindu etc. No Muslim will get citizenship in Arab countries just because he or she is a muslim and no Christian will get citizenship of America or Australia (founded with Christian as claimed by its Prime Minister) just because he is a Christian. Every one of us will remain INDIAN whatever the status enjoyed by us or wherever we live on Earth irrespective of the Religion followed by us. After all, every one of us, Indians, were one large family as the Puranas like Ramayana and Mahabharatha tell us. Islam and Christisnity came with the invaders at various time points spread over the last few centuries. Islam came with invasions at different points of time at different parts of our Motherland between Eight and Five centuries back. Christianity came with European invaders Five-Six centuries back. None of this belong to our land or people. Every Indian, irrespective of whether he/she is a Hindu, Muslim or Christian was a Hindu few centuries/generations back and thereby has Hindu ancestry. Religious Conversions happened due to circumstances under external pressure among a peace loving community that never showed agression towards an alien land be it neighbours or far away places. Therefore, every Indian is a Hindu by blood. If somebody denies that and claims he/she was born for an Arab father and/or mother, then he or she should pack and leave this land to where they belong to. We don't have any problem with friends of different religions with whom we have grown up from childhood. That's their belief and we need not criticize that in anyways as long as they practice their faith within their limits and do not try to score upmanship against another community. Blind and radical faith is what that creates trouble and initiates a chain reaction leading to communal frictions. An example of such offensive attitude towards other beliefs is a comment by a Muslim friend, a close friend who also happens to be a Central Government officer, criticized the ritual of tying up the banana trees in front of a house or wedding halls as a tradition in Hindu culture as a "waste" and he cited the culture. I asked him about the Millions of animals they slaughter for Bakr-Eid and he was speechless. That is the problem. If you stay put with your beliefs and don't try to enforce your blind faith on others, you are safe and every other co-inhabitant of this holy land is also safe. A lot of my Muslim friends in the Gulf agree that though they share the same religion as an Arab, they are looked down only as Indians first and the basis of their religion next by the locals. This should help understand reality for the religious fanatics among our fellow citizens based on their religion. For example, a big problem with Islamic belief, as per my understanding, is that Religion gets priority over Nationality which is utter nonsense. I am sure all of us realise that none of these terrorist attacks in the name of the ill-conceived concept of 'Jihad' can take place if every Muslim in India swears to be a law-abiding citizen and a true Nationalist. There are families falling prey to such evil designs of the few. Many such families are not just driven by fanatic principles, more often they are only driven by the lure of money. May GOD bless this Great Nation of Hindustan. May all of us rise to the occasion, realize reality and say JAI HIND in absolute unity and ONE tone.

Jai Hind!!

Srilanka - Letter to NSA

10.August.2008
Shri.M.K.Narayanan
The National Security Advisor
Government of India. New Delhi.
Dear Sir,
My humble salutations to you and the honourable office held by you.
I have been an avid follower of the national Security at different levels through constantly updating myself with support of Media reports, writings of responsible and well informed people and intellects of the various establishments of the Union of India and through relevant overseas contacts in countries of strategic importance. I am happy to see the sincere effort put in by people like you and others with great national patiortism.
Of late, I have been keenly following the developments in SriLanka, where I had spent quite some time in running a business at the turn of the century. The considerable time I spent in there has given me enormous knowledge of the people, their culture, their psyche, their attitude towards us Indians etc. I have some of my best friends in life from the Sinhalese community. I had great personal friends in some former cabinet Ministers, bureaucrats and politicians from different political parties in SriLanka. It's never difficult to fall in love with those people.
My understanding after the invaluable interactions with people in SriLanka at various levels over the years is that they are generally sane and innocent people only worried about 'today' and never think about 'tomorrow' or the  'day after'. They also lack a vision and gravely miss the ability to administer themselves effectively in a manner so as to be called a "State". They are more like the people of Nepal, to my knowledge. The Nepalis can only manage a task assigned to them, a simple example being asking them to guard a campus. Though this might be a too simple example it best describes their ability. You design a task and they can follow to implement it, but never ever can plan to execute on their own. Similarly, the Sri Lankans fall way too short in ability to manage their Domestic and National affairs effectively. All this is not news to you as our establishments are much more capable of managing any given situation.
What prompted me to write to you was the news of you, as a National Security Advisor of the Union of India, being treated with so much carelessness and inefficent handling of your security during your visit to the SAARC Summit earlier this month. I learnt that you were left stranded without a vehicle or security and you had to take a taxi from the Conference venue Bandaranaike Hall (BMICH) and had to walk for a certain distance to reach your hotel Taj Samudra having been stopped by local police preventing your taxi from proceeding further, being unable to identify you.
I am surprised the vigour with which you, as National Security Advisor (NSA), have been ferociously supporting the Military action of the Govt of Sri Lanka (GoSL) against the LTTE. Though I am not in favour of the armed LTTE, I firmly believe that without an organization as strong as the LTTE as the sole representative of Tamils of North & East Srilanka, Srilanka would not be a safe place for Indian interests. I am sure we all remember the games that the Late Srilankan President J.R.Jayawardene had played during the times of our Late Prime Minister Mrs.Indira Gandhi. Sri Lankans, being as naive as the above given example of Nepal, are just incapable of safeguarding themselves as effectively as they should.
I wish better senses prevail in our establishment and a solution to the Srilankan problem is found without compromising the powers of the Tamil people and without any compromise on the necessity that there remains a true and strong representative of Tamil people in Srilanka within a UNITED SriLanka.

Jai Hind!
